Would your child know what to do if they reached the water alone? Have traditional swim lessons taught your children the water is a fun place to be but without the safeguards and skills to save themselves if they reach the water alone? ISR lesson teach your child how to become aquatic problem solvers with lessons that teach not only safety skills, but the confidence and competence to be safe in and around the water, adding another layer of water safety protection.
I have been an ISR instructor for over 18 years serving the Pacific Northwest as well as several seasons teaching in Austin, Texas. I have extensive experience in teaching children of all ages and abilities and have proudly taught over 7500 children these life saving skills. I am also a big kid myself and have a unique talent in relating to children, building trust while helping them become confident and competent in and around the water.
I came to ISR, like many, as an ISR parent, so I fully understand and appreciate the commitment to lessons that is required to participate in ISR and I am here to be as supportive as I can to ensure your child's success. My main goal as an ISR Instructor is to honor our mission of "Not One More Child Drowns" by giving your child and many others the skills needed to Self-Rescue® should they ever reach the water alone. I believe every child can benefit from these skills and will find ways to work with you to ensure you are able to participate.
Each ISR lesson is custom-tailored to your child, teaching them the self rescue swimming skills that are developmentally appropriate through one-on-one lessons.
Learn MoreDid you know that drowning is the leading cause of death in children under age 5? But it doesn't have to be! ISR teaches each student independent skills in the water so they can swim, float, and self-rescue - building the foundation for a lifetime of safe enjoyment of the water!
